Tariq Al Zomor
Biography
Tariq Al Zomor is an Egyptian Islamist who was among militants who assassinated former Egyptian President Anwar Sadat on 6 October 1981 during the military parade celebrating the victory of the October War of 1973 against Israel. He was imprisoned in 1984 for three decades during which he studied for a law doctorate. Tariq was released during the Egyptian Revolution of 2011 along with his cousin Aboud Al Zomor who was also imprisoned with him on the same charges.
Al Zomor is also the secretary-general of the Salafist Building and Development Party - al-Gama’a al-Islamiyya - and a member of Egyptian Islamic Jihad. He is currently the latter’s current Chairman.
In the June 2013 mass protests, Al Zomor was among various Islamist protesters, inciting violence against Egyptian police, military officers and state insitutions. On 14 July 2013, Hisham Barakat, Egypt's prosecutor general, ordered his assets to be frozen. Afterwards, Al Zomor fled to Qatar where he is still currently based.
Tariq Al Zomor is listed as a terrorist by Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, and the United Arab Emirates.

Evidence of Hate Speech/Incitement:
August 2020: Tariq made a video on his YouTube channel entitled “Why is the West targeting Islam?!..the alliance directed against Islam” where he said that there is a coalition in the West to fight Islam, especially since the 9/11 attack.
July 2020: Tareq released a video on his website and YouTube saying that the West (particularly USA), the orientalists, and especially the protestants are the enemy of Islam, with their stated aim to destroy it.
