Biography

Greg Locke is a hate-pastor and the founder and lead Pastor of Global Vision Bible Church in Tennessee. Locke has amassed a large following on various social media platforms, including Facebook, Telegram, Twitter and Instagram. His website states that Locke is a “revivalist”, with a “firebrand social media following because of his boldness for truth.”

Like other right-wing evangelical preachers in the U.S, Locke has not shied away from his strong political views, particularly his support for former U.S President Donald Trump, his open dislike for Democrats, his anti-LGBTQ+ stance, and his contempt for other religions, especially Islam. Over the past year, Locke has also been outspoken in his opposition to accepting the results of the U.S presidential elections, and urged his followers not to take the COVID-19 threat seriously - often inserting biblical rhetoric to justify his political views.

Locke is also the author of a book titled “This Means War: We Will Not Surrender Through Silence”. The book is a call to action to conservative Christians around the world, and has been described online by many reviewers as being a hate-filled, misogynistic book hiding behind verses from the Bible.

Evidence of Hate Speech/Incitement:

September 2020: In reference to his views on abortion, Locke posted a video on his Instagram account stating that “you cannot be a follower of Jesus Christ and a believer in the eternal word of God and support the butchering and murdering of babies”. Locke further added that “it is a holocaust in our nation, we must repent, turn from out wicked ways and ask God to forgive us for this evil and wicked nonsense.”

January 2016: On his Facebook page, Locke posted a video stating that “Islam is a religion based and built on murder and perversity”. Locked further added that “Islam is a religion built on death to the infidels while Christianity is a religion built on salvation, love, mercy, grace and redemption.” In the same video, Locke further described Islam as a “death cult”, and described the Islamic Prophet Muhammad as a “butcher” and a “peadophile”.

September 2015: Locke encouraged students of a history class at a local High School in Tennessee who were undertaking an Islamic history test to get an “F” grade, rather than be “indoctrinated” with other religions besides Christianity.
