I Switched from Printify to Peaprint – PeaPrint POD Review

I Switched from Printify to Peaprint - PeaPrint POD Review

After running my print-on-demand store with Printify for nearly two years, I thought I had found my long-term POD partner. However, as my brand started focusing more on all-over print apparel I noticed my profit margins shrinking fast. The production costs on Printify for AOP items were simply too high to stay competitive. That’s when I discovered PeaPrint, a newer print-on-demand platform positioning itself as a creator-friendly and cost-efficient alternative. This review walks you through my entire experience: from setup to print quality, fulfillment speed, and customer service. switching from Printify to PeaPrint has been one of the most profitable changes I’ve made in my print on demand business so far.

Getting Started with PeaPrint

Switching platforms is never easy for a print-on-demand seller. but to my surprise, the onboarding process was smooth and intuitive.

Creating an account took less than two minutes. The registration only required basic business details and an email verification — no complex setup or payment method binding at the start. Once logged in, I was greeted by a clean, modern dashboard that instantly felt less cluttered than Printify’s. The navigation layout is straightforward: “Create Product,” “Orders,” “Mockups,” and “Integrations” are all easy to locate from the main sidebar.

Another small but important detail is speed. The platform’s design editor loaded quickly, even with large 50MB files. For sellers like me who often work with detailed patterns or repeating motifs, this responsiveness makes a big difference.

Overall, my first impression was positive. PeaPrint felt lightweight, visually clean, and refreshingly direct. It didn’t overwhelm me with options; it guided me straight into creating.

Product Range & All-Over Print Options

One of the first things that impressed me about PeaPrint was its massive product catalog. Unlike many newer print-on-demand platforms that start with a handful of apparel items, PeaPrint offers well over a thousand different products across multiple categories — and that number keeps growing.

While the platform covers everything from pet accessories, bags, home décor, outdoor gear, to baby and kids’ products, the real highlight is undoubtedly its apparel selection. PeaPrint’s clothing catalog is both diverse and specialized, featuring dozens of styles for T-shirts, hoodies, sweatshirts, shorts, leggings, jackets, and sportswear, all available in full all-over print (AOP) formats.

Compared to Printify, PeaPrint’s focus on AOP apparel feels more deliberate and advanced. The range of templates includes edge-to-edge printing for sleeves, hoods, pockets, and even inner linings, details that many other POD platforms either overlook or charge extra for. The pattern alignment and print consistency across seams and panels are areas where PeaPrint clearly invests in quality control.

Another huge plus is the ability to explore niche categories that Printify doesn’t emphasize. For example:

  • Pet products: custom pet mats, beds, collars, and apparel.
  • Bags and luggage: All-over print backpacks, tote bags, travel pouches, and suitcases.
  • Baby & kids items: custom rompers, bibs, toddler T-shirts, and blankets.
  • Automotive accessories:custom license plate frames, seat covers, car mats, and sunshades.
  • Home and lifestyle: blankets, curtains, rugs, pillows, and wall tapestries.

In short, PeaPrint’s product catalog isn’t just wide, it’s strategically deep. If your store thrives on bold designs, full-print apparel, or cohesive brand aesthetics, this platform gives you far more creative freedom than most of its competitors.

Print Quality

When it comes to print-on-demand, product variety means little if the print quality doesn’t hold up, especially for all-over print apparel. This was one of the main reasons I started looking beyond Printify, and where PeaPrint truly surprised me.

I ordered identical designs, a all-over print hoodie, T-shirt, and leggings, from both PeaPrint and Printify to compare color accuracy, material feel, and print consistency.

Overall, the color vibrancy and detail sharpness were very close. PeaPrint’s results were bright and clean, but not significantly better than Printify’s. In fact, on certain products like cotton-blend T-shirts, Printify’s printing appeared slightly more saturated and crisp, possibly due to the different fabric bases used by its suppliers.

Where PeaPrint performs well is in print consistency and seam alignment, particularly on all-over print (AOP) items like hoodies and leggings. The patterns lined up neatly across sleeves and panels, and there were few visible misalignments. For sellers focusing on pattern-based or full-coverage designs, this level of control is reliable and production-ready.

That said, PeaPrint’s fabric options feel a bit limited compared to Printify’s extensive supplier network. While the materials are comfortable and flexible, some blends, especially for non-AOP products, have a slightly thinner hand feel. If you prioritize heavier cotton fabrics or premium brand blanks, Printify still offers a wider selection through its supplier ecosystem.

Durability-wise, both platforms held up well after several washes. There was no peeling or major fading, and the elasticity of AOP garments remained intact.

Pricing Advantage – How Peaprint Beats Printify

When it comes to pricing, PeaPrint is the clear leader. PeaPrint’s base prices are noticeably lower across most categories. On items like hoodies, leggings, and athletic wear, PeaPrint often undercuts Printify by 50%, without compromising production speed or print consistency.

Here’s a quick snapshot comparing the base prices (as of this review):

Product Type Printify Base Price PeaPrint Base Price Difference
Custom Hoodie $22 $11 -$11
Custom trucker hat $11.6 $3.4 -$8.2
Custom t-shirt $8.77 $4.91 -$3.86
Custom mens’ boxer $17.71 $4.67 -$13.04

Even standard items such as mugs, tote bags, and pillow covers, tend to be 10–40% cheaper on PeaPrint. When you multiply that saving across dozens or hundreds of orders, the impact on margins becomes substantial.

For sellers running small to mid-sized POD stores, that price difference can mean the ability to:

  • Offer more competitive retail prices without sacrificing profit.
  • Invest in ad spend or brand packaging upgrades.
  • Scale product testing with lower upfront costs.

Of course, lower pricing doesn’t automatically mean “better” for everyone. If your brand relies heavily on premium blanks or specific material choices, Printify’s supplier variety might still be preferable. But for most independent sellers, artists, and small apparel brands, PeaPrint’s combination of affordable AOP production and decent print quality strikes a very appealing balance.

Fulfillment & Shipping

If PeaPrint’s pricing is its biggest advantage, then fulfillment and shipping are where it still has room for improvement. it can’t yet match Printify’s global fulfillment network or shipping speed.

PeaPrint’s average production time ranges from 3 to 5 business days, which is fairly standard for the print-on-demand industry. However, since most of PeaPrint’s products are manufactured and shipped from China, delivery times to the U.S., Canada, and Europe are notably longer. In most of my test orders, packages arrived in 10 to 15 business days, depending on the destination. During peak seasons, such as holidays or sales events, shipping could take even longer.

By contrast, Printify’s network of regional print partners, particularly those in the U.S. and Europe, allows it to ship many items domestically, often cutting delivery times in half. This makes a noticeable difference for sellers catering to customers who expect fast turnaround, especially on marketplaces like Etsy or Shopify where delivery speed can affect customer satisfaction and reviews.

Another limitation is branding customization. At this stage, PeaPrint does not offer branded packaging, custom labels, or packing inserts, which are available (though often at extra cost) through Printify’s premium suppliers. For sellers building a lifestyle or apparel brand that values a complete unboxing experience, this can be a drawback.

Platform Tools & Integrations

PeaPrint supports integration with major e-commerce platforms, including Shopify, Etsy, Amazon and WooCommerce, allowing sellers to automatically sync products, inventory, and orders. Setting up the integrations is straightforward, with step-by-step instructions in the dashboard. For sellers migrating from Printify, the interface feels familiar enough to adapt quickly.

the platform also includes a built-in mockup generator. You can preview designs on various product templates, including multiple angles. However, compared to Printify, PeaPrint lacks bulk-editing tools. If you want to upload dozens of products or variants at once, you may need to do it manually or use third-party apps, which can slow down scaling efforts.

On the design side, PeaPrint’s editor supports high-resolution PNG and vector files, but it does not yet provide AI-assisted design suggestions or advanced image editing features. For sellers who primarily rely on external design software (Photoshop, Illustrator, or Procreate), this is not a dealbreaker, but it limits in-dashboard convenience.

Another important factor is order management and reporting. PeaPrint’s dashboard clearly displays order status, fulfillment, and shipment tracking, though it’s simpler than Printify’s more detailed analytics. Sellers looking for comprehensive sales insights or advanced inventory forecasting might find it slightly basic.

Customer Support

Customer support is often overlooked until issues arise. But in the world of print on demand business, responsive and knowledgeable support can save time and money.

PeaPrint offers both email support and live chat. Emails are typically responded to within 24-48 hours. Live chat responses can be slow, which can be frustrating for sellers dealing with urgent fulfillment issues. In contrast, Printify’s responses are often faster and more thorough, especially when handling complex order issues or refunds.

Conclusion

OK, that concludes my review of PeaPrint. Let’s review its features:

Pros:

  • Extensive product range
  • Strong all-over printcapabilities
  • Competitive pricing
  • User-friendly platform
  • Reliable print quality

Cons:

  • Slower shipping
  • No branding options

For sellers who specialize in AOP apparel and are looking to maximize profits, PeaPrint’s extensive product catalog allows them to expand their niche, and switching from Printify to PeaPrint might be a smart move. At least for now, my profit margin has increased by nearly 10 percentage points.
