Aden Rusfeldt
Biography
Aden Rusfeldt is a self-styled “pastor-street preacher” who currently heads the Key of David Christian Centre in Philadelphia. Although not a well-known preacher that leads sermons attended by a large number of people, Rusfeldt adopts “street-preaching” as his method of disseminating his radical discourse.
Rusfeldt’s website, the Key of David Christian Centre openly states it stands against Islam, the Catholic Church, Calvinism, “all other cults” and TV preachers who prefer buying airtime instead of preaching face-to-face.
Aden Rusfeldt wrote a book titled “Open Air Fire: Principles of Open Air Outreach By Pastor Aden Rusfeldt”, where he argued that Jesus’ word commands men to be a little bolder by preaching openly in the streets and not to be afraid of offending any individual. Rusfeldt has regularly undertaken open-street preaching at various university campuses in Philadelphia and Pennsylvania. Rusfeldt’s street-preaching has been characterised as provocative, racist and offensive - with his followers often holding signs with insulting messages aimed at minorities, other religions, the homosexual community and feminists. His supporters have also chanted racist and misogynistic slurs at passersby.
